The St. Josephine Virtual High School’s Grade 12 Business Leadership students launched two student-owned companies through the Ottawa Catholic School Board’s Social Entrepreneurship Program: Green Genius and Rare Republic.
Green Genius and Rare Republic Canada result from the student’s passion, dedication, and commitment to positively impacting the world. These companies have been built from the ground up, showcasing the creativity and innovation of our young entrepreneurs. Their shared mission is to use their business ventures to support non-profit organizations world-wide.
Green Genius
GreenGenius is a company dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainability and environmental conservation. Their ultimate goal is to help individuals and households become 100% net zero, ultimately saving the planet. Students from St. Josephine have developed eco-friendly solutions and products that contribute to a greener future. Donations made through their website directly support carbon offset projects in Canada.
Rare Republic Canada
Rare Republic Canada strives to promote the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and increase awareness and support for endangered animals and their habitats by offering stylish and sustainable clothing. St. Josephine students are raising funds through innovative initiatives to support non-profits in addressing social issues and bringing about positive change.
